Dr Sawant qualified for her Medical degree in 2005. She earned a Post Graduate MD degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and worked in India as a Consultant Obstetrics and Gynaecologist specialising in Minimal Invasive Surgery for 2 years before coming to the UK.
She is a member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) and was awarded the prestigious Vijaya Patil Prize Medal for an outstanding performance in the RCOG exams in London.
Dr Sawant further advanced her career by undertaking training in assisted conception and reproduction at Homerton University Hospital, NHS Trust London where she participated in various research projects and has published and presented papers on various aspects of assisted conception and reproduction at both national and international conferences.
In addition to her work with Bridge Clinic London, Dr Sawant is a Consultant Gynaecologist at Barts Health NHS Trust, where she was instrumental in establishing a HyCoSy service at the hospital. Dr Sawant is proud of her contribution in implementing clinical governance processes, and has written guidelines, policies and pathways, all with the aim of improving access to fertility treatments. She is trained in performing both laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgeries in sub-fertility patients
She is highly experienced in all aspects of reproductive medicine & endocrinology including management of polycystic ovaries, egg freezing, same sex couples, recurrent implantation failure after IVF treatment, recurrent miscarriage and those with premature ovarian insufficiency.
Dr Sawant is extremely passionate about providing tailored treatments to meet the unique and specific needs of her patients whilst always offering high quality care.
