Lead Nurse

Sarah Pallett qualified as a Registered General Nurse in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Her experience has included medical nursing, community nursing and gynaecology. In the mid 1990s Sarah helped develop a pioneering nurse-led infertility service in Southend-on-Sea. In 1999 she moved to Brentwood Fertility Unit as a Nurse Co-ordinator, gaining a Diploma in Nursing Studies. She joined the former Isis Fertility Centre team in the summer of 2001, initially to lead the nursing function, but her talent was soon recognised and she was promoted to Unit Manager and then made a Director of the Company.
Since the acquisition of Isis by Bourn Hall in November 2009, Sarah carried out the pivotal role of Clinic Manager for Bourn Hall Colchester clinic and latterly Regional Clinic Manager for both Bourn Hall clinics in Essex. Following the project management of setting up a new full service clinic in Wickford, Sarah was promoted to Business Development Director.
Sarah says: “Although every journey is unique each couple’s goal is the same – to have a child and build a family. To share in their journey and help them achieve this goal is what makes working in the field of fertility so special and so rewarding; no two days are the same.”

Sarah transferred to Bourn Hall and continued her role at Colchester joining the senior management team, reporting to the Chief Executive. As Bourn Hall had the NHS contract for the East of England the Colchester clinic became significantly busier with increasing numbers of cycles.

Sarah continued in this role, setting up a new satellite clinic in Wickford in 2013 and was appointed Regional Clinic Manager for Essex. In 2016 Sarah was given responsibility to project manage the building of a brand new Bourn Hall full service clinic in Wickford. Sarah liaised with a wide range of disciplines to successfully complete the build and manage the launch of a state of the art clinic which opened in the Summer of 2018.

In the meantime, there was a re-organisation within Bourn Hall’s senior management team and Sarah was appointed Business Development Director in January 2018 with responsibility for setting up or refitting new facilities, collaborative ventures with NHS and private hospitals, liaison with CCGs and delivery of business growth projects such as introduction of new services or line extensions.

Sarah has held offices as the HFEA Person Responsible, CQC Registered Manager and Home Office Licensee for our Essex Clinics.
